Dr. Michelle Scheidt
Program Officer at the Fetzer Institute in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA working towards Fetzer’s mission of helping build the spiritual foundation for a loving world.
I am inspired by the aspirations of the Forum and its participants, and I personally embrace the Forum’s commitment to working for lasting transformation in the world. I believe that together we are creating opportunities to shift our way of being and embrace higher values such as love and compassion. I seek to do that myself, engage with others on the journey, and share the vision more broadly.
The Forum’s work is needed now more than ever, as we see growing divides among people and a planetary system that is in crisis. By fostering human growth, depth, and authentic connection, we can create the conditions to make human flourishing possible. Together, we have the opportunity to shift our future.
I believe that creating harmony amidst difference requires each of us to commit to our own spiritual growth and practice. The process of transformation begins with me, and I can’t authentically engage in this work unless I am doing my own inner work. By building my own spiritual depth and resilience, I am taking the essential first step in transforming our world.
