As Additional Administrative Head and European Director of Brahma Kumaris and a spiritual leader and teacher for 50 years, Sister Jayanti has dedicated her life to self-transformation and service to humanity. Brahma Kumaris is an international NGO of the United Nations, accredited with General Consultative Status with ECOSOC. Sister Jayanti has been the organisation’s representative to the UN in Geneva since 1982. She has championed the co-operative role of spiritual organisations in creating a just and peaceful world, bringing spiritual principles to the discussion tables of politicians, economists, business leaders, scientists and nearly every stakeholder of our times. A reflection on the theme: 'Towards a Loving World, Leadership and Governance for Well-Being'.

If, instead of using the word 'leader', we could think of a server, that then puts in to context the role that a leader actually plays. To serve means to put others first and to give them the support they need to come to a state of well-being through love and through the correct systems. A leader then considers himself or herself to be an instrument and spiritual power can work through them.
