The growing material and technical potentialities of mankind should not increase threats and crises, but lead to ‘increased happiness’, and to this end, it is necessary to recognize that spirituality and morality are not harmful constraints to pure rationalism, but important instruments in achieving sustainable development of mankind. The rationalist paradigm of development should be complimented by one based upon spiritual and moral values as an important motive and criterion of any decisions and actions. The forcible globalization should be countered with civilizational integration – a movement toward a new system of values, guidelines and objectives, serving as the basis of a united world, which is harmonious and certain of its future.
