Dr Thomas Bruhn is a physicist and transdisciplinary researcher leading the “Transformative Spaces and Mindsets” research group at the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) in Potsdam. His work focuses on the interplay between inner development and societal transformation, emphasising the cultivation of mental qualities such as mindfulness and compassion to support sustainability initiatives. Dr. Bruhn’s interdisciplinary approach bridges science, policy, and consciousness to foster regenerative cultures and address complex sustainability challenges through inner transformation and participatory methods.
Leadership can be a natural consequence of being in resonance with life. In the presence of worldly challenges, conflicts and suffering, it may require courage, however, to stay centered in our compassion with ourselves and our surrounding to wholeheartedly say "yes" to the miracle of aliveness with all its ambiguity.
